Firefox plugins for “pirates”

Hey,
some plugins I found out about last week and now really can’t live without:
Greasemonkey scripts, really.
IMDB pirated version
and the best joke of the week: Pirates of the Amazon.
Those guys really do have sense of humor.
In case you don’t know, you need a Greasemonkey extension to install these.
Pirates of the Amazon website

By the way, the Amazon script is very controversial. Lots of debates around it on the net. Somehow, part of the people think it’s not very nice to hack Amazon like that, while the other part thinks it doesn’t matter, as long as there is a way to download stuff for free. And then there is the third part which really sees the irony. I mean, if you think about it, all those guys did was cross few sites via their add-on. So that instead of reading about movies/music on Amazon and then copy/paste the name to a torrent website, they united them all, for convenience:) And I do agree with the professors in that university, that said they were surprised at the request of Amazon to remove the add-on from public access. There was nothing illegal in what those guys did. Too bad they didn’t go to court with them. I bet they’d won.
Anyway, someday, when I have some energy to write, I’ll reveal some of my insights on the whole “piracy” crap.
Till then, download yourself a nice movie and have a good day!

Ozzik.
